Always interesting to talk to - always had a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eya. I remember him roaring with laughter when I came back from Glastonbury with dayglo sunburn and rushing for a camera!

I remember him treating me to my first Balti in Birmingham one birthday bash.

He showed me his new campervan and was so excited about it.  I was fascinated with his wildlife photography and his pc setup in his little office with his infectious enthusiasm.  He has unwittingly sparked a lifelong interest in photography in me for which I 'll be forever grateful.

He impressed on me the importance of ploughing your own furrow and putting fun and family before fortune.

He was always so welcoming and fun to be around - I'll genuinely miss him.
